Make Me A Comic’s homepage FAQ says comic books “can be ready in as little as 7 days, but longer ones might take 14-20 days”; its book page gives “a minimum of 12 days to complete the artwork” for the shortest books. AI services finish in minutes to an hour: LoveTales says “Ready in 10 minutes,” and PersonalizedComics.com says its full comic is usually ready within the hour.
Who draws a better likeness, a human artist or AI?
Mini-verdict: a skilled human artist wins on likeness. Make Me A Comic’s book page lists “Detailed likenesses of people, pets, places and personal items” and “Unlimited draft revisions, plus minor edits to completed artwork.”

Independent artists usually draw, not write. The artist Nokami lists per-panel rates of $5–$35 (billed per page) and requires “a script provided by the client.” The artist cogamori charges 20% more when the client does not supply the plot, page count, or dialogue. In Zeta Global’s 2025 Holiday Retail Survey of 2,000 U.S. adults who use AI tools monthly, 68% said gifts are more special if they are “wholly human-originated,” even though 70% liked the idea of receiving an AI-chosen gift.
