Yes: Your Comic Story sells a printed, hand-drawn 4-page book for $600, printing and shipping included. Make Me A Comic’s £700 book has 12 pages, 4 of them title, message, and photo pages, so per page Your Comic Story is not cheaper. 6. Your Comic Story

What about Etsy custom comic sellers?
Etsy custom comic sellers offer commissioned comics from individual artists. Prices vary by seller, so check each listing; waits are usually multi-week. Before ordering, check the artist’s portfolio for samples like yours, ask whether the work is hand-drawn or AI-made, since some listings are AI, and confirm how many revisions the price includes.
Can you make a comic about the two of you yourself?
You can make a comic about the two of you with DIY software such as Pixton or Comic Life, but you do the creative work. Pixton supplies posable characters and backgrounds. Comic Life lays out your own photos. With either tool, you write the story and lay out and letter every panel, whereas AI services such as Based on Us or mycomics.ai generate the comic from your photos and story.
When is Make Me A Comic still the better choice?
Make Me A Comic is the better choice when you want human-drawn art, a story co-written with you, unlimited edits, and printed copies with books, and you can accept £700 or more and a longer wait. It has operated since 2011, the longest track record among the studios and AI services here.
Make Me A Comic’s site says: “Every comic we create is drawn by a real artist. We do not use templates or AI.” Books include story development and writing and “Full likeness to recipient, pets, places and personal items.”
Founder and CEO Aura Gold writes on the book page: “Once we have everything I will personally write and design your story.” The studio started as a hobby in 2011, per its About page.
One caveat from its book page FAQ: any edit is possible at the draft stage, but changing whole panels after the artwork is complete incurs a fee.
